Last night I dreamt a dingo ate the police officer who killed my baby

Chalk = Free Speech.
It's a recurring dream... one where the only Justice available to the victims of police brutality is a random act of violence committed by nature...

PTSD from Police Brutality and its collateral damage is a drag...
but turning your Pain into Art- that is transformative and righteous.

Chalk Is Art.
#ArtIsNotACrime
Chalk = Free Speech.
Free Speech Is Not A Crime... but the LAPD thinks it is an arrestable offense.  City Attorneys around the country know that Chalk on public property it is not a prosecutable offense.
Someone should remind the LAPD that the exercising of a constitutional right cannot be converted into a crime and of the ACLU civil suit recently filed against the NYPD for unlawful arrests...

Expect Us To Express Us.

#Miscarriage Of Justice

Balin still peaceful after 3 unconstitutional arrests.

     Melissa Balin is a filmmaker and activism media producer.  Former producer for Police Officer of the Year Award Show for Court TV, and board member of the Angela Shelton Foundation to empower the survivors of sexual abuse, as well as the Foundation for Orphaned, Abandoned, Disabled, African Children; Balin had never been arrested prior to her known association with the Occupy LA movement and has since been unconstitutionally arrested three times over a thirty day period during the 2011 holiday season.  Balin was taken into the emergency room for treatment of the use of force by sheriffs and/or police while in custody for two of the three arrests, resulting in a miscarriage.  While the City has yet to even begin an investigation into the allegations of police misconduct almost six months ago being the cause of death to the unborn fetus; the City Attorney's office is zealously prosecuting Balin for Misdemeanor charges of Contempt of Court during her first arrest on November 14, 2011, where she was unconstitutionally held in LA County Jail without cause and without even a phone call to notify family or legal counsel for more than 53 hours.
     According to Masinter 355 So.2d 1288, the power to jail for contempt is given "on the assumption that it will be judiciously and sparingly employed".
     Professionals in the mental health field believe that Balin's healing from the trauma of her miscarriage will continue to be inhibited by the stress and emotional duress of the trial and could cause Balin worsened Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other long-term debilitating mental illness.  May 29th will mark the SIXTH month where the prosecution refuses to bring in the video evidence held by the LA Sheriff’s Department and subpoenaed by the defense in discovery.
     Whether it is your taxpayer dollars being wasted or not, if you are a voting constituent, or prefer to remain Anonymous; please sign this Change.org online petition: http://www.change.org/petitions/miscarriage-of-justice and call, fax, tweet, and/or write, to elected City Attorney, Carmen Trutanich's office, asking him not to pursue this "Miscarriage of Justice" any further.  While Balin's conduct in the courtroom as an identified member of the media may have been improper or unwise, it was not contemptuous or criminal, and the record does not support a finding that she intended to obstruct the proceedings.  Based on lack of sufficient evidence, and in the interest of Justice, ask the City Attorney to please drop all charges against filmmaker Melissa Balin in Case #1CA16847-02.

When Life Gives You Lemons... #LetThemEatCake!

When Life gives you a preponderance of lemons, try to find creative non-violent ways to make a Universal Lesson out of that lemon, and then eat it.  That’s right- when Life gives you lemons- #LetThemEatCake- Lemon cake!  For example in protest against corporate greed and to Put People Before Profits, I’m baking lemon cupcakes in solidarity with the May 1st General Strike and as just one of the many tantalizing perks in our Indie Gogo Stay Occupied fundraising campaign.

You know, in my home state of California, we have one of the best lemon laws in the nation to protect consumers- if your car is at the dealer for more than three times for the same repair issue they MUST take action.  Too bad we can’t file a lemon law complaint against Congress, huh?

The closest thing we’ve got is the Right to air our grievances and we’d better use it before we lose it!  So Please Register to Vote and demand effective action for a change- in some States like Maine you can register all the way up to the election polls, and in others you must be registerd up to 30 days in advance, so be sure to check your States’ registration deadlines.

Whether you choose to identify yourself or be Anonymous, We Expect YOU to Join Us.  Let your voice be heard.  Air your grievances, and unlike Congress, help us look for meaningful solutions for a sustainable future.  Whether you place your message on a white flag, a tweet or even a #LemonInstagram2Congress, Please remember that the Medium IS the Message and continue to find & SHARE ways to @StayOccupied by any creative non-violent means necessary.

Occupy This:

On this day for International Human Rights of December 10, 2011:
Cover Photo of LA Times November 30, 2011.
Silence is consent, so while Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa & Los Angeles Chief of Police, Charlie Beck are busy congratulating each other on a "peaceful" eviction of LA City Hall and "only 3 instances of violence exerted by LAPD officers", we must address these flagrant lies as well as their multiple violations of the Constitution for the United States of America, and the California State Constitution of 1849.

On October 10, it was publicly decreed by International Sovereigns, that the land surrounding City Hall, was repatriated based on Discovery of the Tongva People in 9,000 BC and Usufruct (public use of public land) since 1928.  While still waiting for acknowledgement from the United Nations, officials including City Attorney, Carmen Trutanitch, Captains of the LA Fire Department, LAPD, and members of LA City Council were notified that the area was no longer under Municipal jurisdiction.

On October 12, LA City Council unanimously voted in favor of Resolution 33, to support the Occupy LA protest.  LA City Council President, Eric Garcetti publicly stated, "Stay as long as you like".  This "support" was never further defined, although it should have included sanitation and other issues mentioned as items for concern by the Mayor.

According to California Tenant Rights, those in domicile for more than 30 days with the complicit understanding of the landlord (which was established by more than 100 people at 200 N. Spring Street), require a 30 day eviction notice and LAPD protocol is instructed not to make arrests as such matters are classified as "a civil matter to be ruled on by the courts."  According to State and Federal precedents, tents ARE considered legal domiciles.

The Mayor's announcement of an eviction on the Friday after the holiday formerly known as American Thanksgiving, was viewed as unlawful on several grounds, including but not limited to, Article 11 Section 2 of the California State Constitution of 1849.  The Attorney General was contacted for an Order for Protection, but their offices were closed for the holiday.  On Sunday, a Federal Judge was contacted for a Federal Injunction to stay the eviction.  On Monday, the National Lawyers' Guild filed a State injunction to stay the eviction, expecting to be heard in court before Wednesday.

On multiple occasions, the LAPD, City Council and Mayors' office have been notified that We, the People of California, do not yield our sovereignty to the agencies that serve us, placing this matter outside of municipal jurisdiction.  On Monday, November 28, Chief Beck gave a press conference where he stated "time is on our side and we will take as much time as we need to make sure the homeless are brought to shelters and that everyone is evacuated safely."

It is important for everyone to know that LAPD DID INDEED exercise unnecessary force on Tuesday evening of November 29, 2011; that no one was EVER served an eviction notice or given appropriate time to evacuate.  The Mayor, City Council and LAPD are responsible for knowingly violating our 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th Amendment Rights.  Their "extensive destruction and appropriation of property not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly" (ie: the throwing of our property directly into the City Dump without a warrant or acknowledgement of the property as evidence in a Crime Scene) is considered a "grave breach" of the Third and Fourth Geneva Conventions, providing the legal definition of a "War Crime".

It is unclear to us why this conflagration of unmitigated subjugation is being complacently dismissed as an issue of "illegal camping", when this is clearly a globally relevant issue of an International Violation of Human Rights.  When Mayor Villaraigosa smugly suggests that the City of Los Angeles will have to pay less in damages than the MayDay Riots of 2007, We the People of California submit that will not be the case.  It is public knowledge that every domicile/tent destroyed is entitled to reparations of up to $10,000; every mentally ill resident displaced unlawfully is entitled to up to $2.2 million dollars in reparations and every person unlawfully incarcerated is entitled to up to $10,000 per minute of their incarceration.

We the People of the California Republic, demand a Federal Investigation of the crime scene of the LA City Hall International Tort of November 30, 2011, reparations, and an International Trial of Mayor Villaraigosa, LAPD Chief Beck, and all of LA City Council for their war crimes against the People of California.
